What Home Means To Me

When I think of home I think of not just my house but the people and family inside of it. Because when you will see many other papers or poems they say that the bricks and furniture do not make the house. The reason so many people write this is because it’s true, for all homes big or small they are never just the bricks or furniture, it's always the family. A home is something everyone needs, Whether it’s an apartment building or beautiful beach house everyone needs something to call home. You never know who you know might not have a home because they can’t afford one. Even if a home is the family the home sometimes isn’t perfect and the house and family are falling apart. Covid-19 makes some families closer together or further apart. It’s getting harder to find a great home that is affordable. When I was in grade two I had a friend who had been to 5 different schools because her family had to move from house to house. When anyone asked why she had lived in so many different places she would deny it because she thought it was embarrassing. This challenge might not donate much for each entry but if enough people write what they think of home then you will help so many people have one. Home is about the family inside and being loved. No matter who you are, everyone should have a home to feel safe and warm.
