What Home Means To Me

Life is at home where it’s lively and full of happy faces with the biggest smiles. You have a stressful day at school with loads of homework, but when you come home you feel refreshed and you get more energy with your loved ones surrounding you. When you leave your home you realize that “life is like a bicycle; to keep balance you have to keep moving”. But it’s good to know you're not always riding by yourself, but with your family and friends supporting you. The warmth and love you feel in your home you don’t feel anywhere else. It’s a feeling you have and you enjoy the most. You feel loved. You feel like you can be yourself. No one is watching you, so you don’t have to feel uncomfortable. There is a sense of warmth and happiness throughout your home with parents, siblings, pets and friends walking, talking and laughing. It’s when you are surrounded by people who mean the most and not just the walls or roof that make up the structure of your home. You see your family growing as you grow together, teaching each other new things, lessons and new memories too. The people in your home care about you unconditionally and you care for them the same way. You will protect them and you won’t let them go so easily. They make you and your house so cheerful and comfortable. Sometimes when you are having a rough day, you return home and you are reminded “these are the people I love” and “the people I care about” and this helps you through the hard times to feel lively again. Peace comes from the place you call home, not just the safety you feel within walls and a roof but more importantly with your loved ones surrounding you. Those people are the ones who know how to make you feel at home. They bring you happiness, peace and comfort that not everyone can give you. When you are calm, you think to yourself the world isn’t as perfect as it might seem, but under that one roof that you call home, sparks fly with colors filling the house, with family not fireworks but within the place you feel at home. This will hold a special place in your heart forever like nowhere else.
