A Home is Made of Love

A house is made of brick and stone but a home is made of love alone. Home to me is a place of dreams and memories, home is a place where you are important and where people care for you. Home is opening the door, feeling the rush of heat and hearing all the welcoming hellos from your sister, mom or dad. Many people take for granted how important a home can be. Home doesn't have to be your house, it can be a sports arena or a grandparent’s house. It can even be your little treehouse behind your garage. It doesn't matter what your house looks like or what it smells like, it matters that you have a home to have lazy days and movie nights. You can sleep in or stay up late. A home is where you lose your first tooth and have your first sleepover. When I think of home, I think of all the special memories and holidays we have together as a family and before you know it it's been 3, 4, 5 years in your wonderful home. Some families can’t have these feelings because they don’t have a home. These families have to wonder if they will have shelter or have food to eat. They don’t have a tv to watch movies on or a phone to play on. Put yourself in their position and think how hard it must be for them to live feeling scared. This is why we need to do charities like Habitat for Humanity to this and help people in need. I am writing for those families in need so they can have a home to be safe in because to me home is very important.
