Home

Home is a place where I feel safe, where I feel loved. Home is a place where I see my family when I get home. To me, home means shelter. A home is like a habitat. If you don’t have a habitat, you have to fight to survive. Sadly, over 1.7 million people in Canada don't have a home, or have a home in an unsafe area, can’t pay their bills, or their home is in foul conditions. Homeless people have to find shelter, food and warmth in the winter or when it rains. That's why Habitat for Humanity© tries to help the homeless. A home isn’t just walls and a roof. A home is a shelter, and warmth. People who have a home should be grateful they have a home. To me home is the best place to be!
