My Home Letter

Hi my name is Shayla Kerbel and I am going to tell you all about my home, a wonderful place. Many people have houses like me but think about the people that don’t have shelter, a roof over their head, no food, or water. It makes me feel lucky to have these things on a daily basis. There are many types of homes, they look different, are made of different materials, and have different smells. Some things that remind me of my home are my comfy couch, my dogs bark, and the smell of our laundry detergent. What reminds you of your home? Our homes might not look the same but they are all connected in one way. Whether you live in a tent, in a house, or in an apartment, what really makes your home special is the people that you live with and the memories you make together. Here is the meaning of the word home to me. H stands for a happy place because whenever I am home I am happy. O stands for outstanding people because I love my family and they live in my home. M stands for the most loving place because I am welcomed at my home no matter what. E stands for entertaining because I have so much fun and make memories. That is what makes a good home to me. Your home is a safe place to talk to people when you are feeling sad or when you are stressed out and celebrate happy things too! Like birthdays, bar or bat mitzvahs, holidays, anniversaires, and just fun things. I am so lucky to have a great home!
