Habitat for Humanity Poem
Home Oh Home,
You are like heaven.
Home is like fresh cookies and milk in the morning.
Home is the heart. Home is where most of my best memories are.
Celebrating holidays is one of the best.
But the most is going out west.
Home smells like marshmallows and chocolate on a cold day.
Home makes me feel safe.
When I get home, I run inside and hide under my covers.
I get really warm inside like it's summer, but since it's not that's a bummer.
When it's dinner I run to the kitchen to the fresh smell of cooking.
As I'm looking at my plate my mouth waters.
I start to eat my food as it tastes like a treat.
After a while I get tired.
I get ready for bed.
I feel like such a sleepyhead.
As I get my cozy covers, I lay down as I dream about our town.
There's a lot of sound where I'm walking.
