What Home Means to Me

What Home Means to Me Home means to me two different things. For people who are lucky enough like me, home means a place where you are loved, safe, accepted, understood, and cared for. Home means a place where I can come home after school and feel comfortable. I laugh and play with my siblings. I have all my memories in my home. Home is not a structure, it's the place where you live, it's the place where if you are lucky enough like m,e you are loved and accepted. In my home I am loved and accepted. Home is where my family is. We talk together, we laugh together, we cry together, we play together in my home. Home Is a place where I feel safe. I feel that I can be myself without anyone judging me. I can be whoever I want to be in my home. I can cry whenever I want to cry, laugh whenever I want to. Though not everyone is as lucky as me. A lot of people don't have a home where they are loved, cared for, accepted, or a place where they feel safe. A lot of people feel scared, not loved, judged, rejected, lonely, depressed etc…, where their home is. Many people live in prison, or they are homeless and live on the streets, or live in an abusive home. Yet that is still their home. Yes it's unfortunate that some people don't have a safe home. I think home is simply a place where you live. It does not need to be a great loving safe place most of the time. It is, but a lot of the time it is not.
