Oasis

A house is made of bricks and cement, a home is made of kindness and joy. A house is a place of warmth, a home is a place of forgiveness. A home is where we have the most memories, where we are the happiest. A home is where you can scream at the top of your lungs for no reason whatsoever. In a house you find shelter and safety, In a home you find love and hope. A house is a place where you live, A home is an oasis where you rejoice. An oasis could have so many different meanings for so many different people. Your oasis could be your family, nature, a hobby, or even your work. No matter what your oasis is, it's important, because, sometimes all you Need is somewhere to go, someone to talk to, and your spirits will be lifted. But there are some people without an oasis. Some are alone on the street, with nowhere to go and no one to talk to. So if you've heard of this contest, please write a poem, because your kindness could be someone's oasis, the home they've been waiting for their whole life. So please, I ask you again, all you need is a pencil, some paper and a little creativity, To bring hope back to someone's life.
