My meaning of home
Home doesn't have to have family
And it doesn't have to be fancy
Even if it is not what you expected
Home is a place where you are protected.
When I enter my home
My parents say hello
I tell them about my day
And then I think and say
What about the others
Who don’t have covers
When they go to rest
I want to give it my best
To fix this mess.
But sometimes we forget
About those that are wet
or cold or hot, stuck with no home
Like a bird with no nest
It has no place for rest.
We think it’s so simple
When we turn the key
It’s not that at all
It’s not even their fault
So let’s take action
And point each other
In the right direction.
