The Greatest Gift

What does Home mean to you? ---------------------------------------------------- “The Greatest Gift” Home is an amazing place. A place of pride. A place of joy. A place of love. A place of safety, and a place of nurturing care. A place of learning, and a place of tolerance. A place where you can be comfortable A place where the loving care of family gives you shelter. A place where the tight hug of a parent gives you warmth. It is a place to live life, and a place to laugh. It is a place to dance and sing. Home has boundless possibilities. But this great privilege that we may take for granted, isn’t granted to all. This gift of shelter, not all will receive. All the joy and care, some may not perceive. However, with some meaningful words, a home could be given to someone. That is why I write this poem. To see the joy in their face once they see their new home. To give the greatest gift to someone. Let us share the greatest gift of all, home because everyone deserves a home.
