What home means to me

“What does my home mean to me?” is a tough question to answer because my home doesn’t mean just one thing to me but many. My home is my shelter from rain, snow, sleet, and hail My home is the warmth that surrounds me when I’m cold My home is where my memories happen My home is where I laugh with my friends when they come over My home is a place where I feel safe As you can see, my home is many important things to me. Whenever I see someone without a home, no comforts of their own, it breaks my heart because they don’t have what is fair. EVERYONE deserves a place they can call home! I want to make a difference and by helping Habitats for Humanity I can! I want to make sure EVERYONE has a place to call their home. Everyone, everywhere! I want everyone to have that feeling of warmth and safety of comfort and love. I don’t want anyone to have to search for shelter or warmth or good feelings of food to fill their empty stomachs. All I want is for everyone to have all that without having to search. EVERYONE deserves warmth, safety, and shelter and all that can happen just because of a place they can call home. A home isn’t just four walls and a roof, it’s a feeling. Four walls and a roof is just a house but it’s still a wonder. To call a place “home” means a lot more than it might seem, but over time all those feelings will be there, inside of you. All you need in the beginning is those walls and that roof because that is a dream for many people.
