Meaning Of Home
What is the meaning of the word home? Many people would simply answer, “It’s somewhere we live.” But if you ask me, it’s a place where we grow, somewhere we love and are loved and a place we make memories and take care of each other.
A home is more than just somewhere we sleep and eat. To me, my home is not just wood and bricks, it's a place where we make memories and spend time with the people we love. During these tough times, a home is more important than ever. Now a home is not only a living space, it’s a classroom, a hangout space, and so much more.
A house is not a home until it has a heart. And there’s only one way to give a house a heart. Give the house a family. A home is somewhere to grow in, physically and mentally. We make plans for the rest of our lives, and never forget the memories we make there.
To be a home, a house doesn’t have to be perfectly painted or have the nicest furniture, all it needs is love. To be a home, all a house needs is a human touch. Every room painted, every wall put up, brings memories that shape who we become. From the photos we put up, to the drawings we hang on the fridge, a house is only a home when it gets a family.
Having a home may not be something everyone has just yet, but it's something I think all deserve. Everyone should be able to make amazing memories, spend time with family and friends and have a comfortable place to sleep at night. Not everything has to be worth lots of money because the memories people make in their own homes are priceless.
