Home is where the heart is

Home is where I feel cozy and warm. I feel safe and supported. It is where all possibilities can become a reality. My home is filled with joy and love. Where I come from I have two homes in two houses. My farm home is a log house with a fireplace in it. It keeps me toasty warm. In the winter, when the snow falls and the wind blows, it becomes my own personal snow globe. It’s like a magical winter wonderland. My other home is in Broadview where my dad works as a RCMP officer. I have lived in 4 different places already! Home is a place I’m very grateful for because it is something not all people have. I am very grateful to have two places to call Home. I know some people do not have this and I want to share my experience with them by gifting them the opportunity to have a home of their own. This writing contest gifts me that opportunity and I am grateful for that as well. When I go back and forth to my two homes it is like I teleport into another dimension. My home life is very different in each home. Just like a heart beat, no two are the same. I get to experience so many different things in each of my homes and every week is a new adventure. Even though I’m constantly moving back and forth I know no matter where I go, home is where the heart is and that is my wish for whoever you build a house for, to have a house to call HOME.
