Home to Me
As I walk to my door, I set my silky smooth hand on the freezing door knob. It shocks me and I leap back. I open the door to be greeted by my wonderful mom, hands full with delicious foods from strawberries to blueberries to carrots and cucumbers! I smell the thrill of pasta on the stove cooking and sizzling away. I sprint up the stairs while my bare feet skim the smooth wood floor. I hop onto my hockey-themed bedding and think of all the things my home has taught me and how it has shaped me. I feel the comfort of my dad's arms cradling me while the thunder crackles above. I think of all the yummy meals my family has provided me. The education my parents have taught me. I think of all the activities and sports like hockey, football, baseball and soccer. I doze off into a big dream, me playing hockey professionally in the NHL.
I wake up startled by my alarm. I then realize that the buzzer in my dream was just my alarm buzzing and screeching like a bat. I press my fingers on the jumpy alarm hooting away to turn it off. My cat greets me purring like a motorbike. His orange colors make him stand out to all the other purples and blues of my room. I quickly noticed that my door was opened and I think that was how my fuzzy little thing got in.
I go on with my day to play the fantastic game of hockey. I come home after, all tired and droopy. I hop into my bed and start reading a thrilling book. That's how important home is to me!
