Meaning of Home. To me home means family, fun, and feeling safe. When I am home my family is always around me. They treat me well and give me the things I need to be healthy. My family always makes sure that I have clean clothes, a bed to sleep in, and fresh healthy food to eat. My family is not just my mom, dad, and sister; it also includes my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins who would also do the same things. Home to me is fun because at my house we have a pool for the summer and a hockey rink for the winter. So my family and I can swim and skate in all seasons and enjoy each other’s company. We also play board games, and have fun watching our favourite sports teams play on TV. My meaning of home is also fun for my friends. My friends are always invited over to swim or skate whenever they like. Lastly, home to me is feeling safe. The roof over my head makes me feel safe because my parents have done everything they can to make it that way. We have an alarm system that we use every time we leave the house and when we go to bed. This makes me feel secure because I always know that no one can get in when we are not there. We also have security cameras on the outside of our house to make sure we are safe. The roof provides safety from rain, snow, cold, and heat. I also feel safe in my home because my parents love me so much and would never hurt me or not give me the things that I need to grow and be happy. In conclusion, to me home provides safety and security, family and fun.
