A Home Where I Walk
I am awake,
In my warm cozy bed,
Smelling the eggs right from my bed.
Looking out of my window,
Seeing the clouds roll by,
Thinking, "Will I ever be able to say goodbye?"
As the day goes on,
We have fun in our home.
I see smiles on faces that I had never seen before.
This must’ve been the day the new home was formed.
But the day was the same as the one before that,
It didn’t have a end,
Nor a start,
But a place right there in the centre of my heart.
As I watched the sunset getting darker,
At the end of my busy day,
I think to myself and say,
"What a wonderful thing to watch it with no fear."
As I thought to myself,
The time has come near,
To go to bed,
In my little house,
And say goodnight to my wonderful home,
But also to the friend that it has just become.
That is my home.
