Meaning of Home

I am here in my bedroom. I can see my neighbors beautiful lawn through my window. I can smell the trees and their leaves blowing in the wind.I can taste the air all crowded together in front of me. I can feel my comfy bed. I am so happy to have a home. Everything is so nice. I sometimes take it for granted, I am sure you do too. Maybe if you read this paragraph it could help you. Homes can vary widely. Some are big and beautiful. Some are small and comfy. Some are very expensive. All homes meaning, memories, all backstories. Some people don’t have the privilege of a home. It is estimated that approximately 35,000 Canadians experience homelessness on any given night, and at least 235,000 Canadians are homeless in any given year. That is in Canada alone. Based on national reports, it's estimated that no less than 150 million people, or about 2 percent of the world's population, are homeless. That is a lot. I am so happy that I have a home. Since so many people don’t have a home, there are many people trying to help them. Just like this. Now no one really wants to know all the facts (or at least not these ones). I will tell you some better ones. I agree with what many people say, home is where the heart is. People tend to feel more safe at home一when you have a safe family that is. Home is a necessary thing that you need to survive. It is third on the list...Water, Food, Shelter, First Aid Kit, Signalling Device, and Lighter or Matches. Homes are needed.
