Meaning of Home

A home is a place where I live and I thrive a beautiful place where I live my best life Sometimes I read with my sister and mother It's just as fun as when I play with my father Home means to me a lot of things It’s something important, To which I will cling But it mostly means love, hope and empathy And, when I move, I hope it remembers me. I’m not moving yet, though, fortunately A home is a place that is big or is small it doesn’t matter if it’s short or it’s tall If it’s in the wild, the city or woods That doesn’t make it any less good. Home means so much to me and my heart Not appreciating your home is not very smart. I sleep in my bed, I eat at the table And I know my house it doesn’t need no label A home gives me shelter, and a place to sleep And a warm place, for my heart to keep.
