What Home Means to Me

Home is a place where I am adored by my family. It's where I live and learn what's right and what's wrong. It's more than a building with walls. It's where I feel safe and loved. My home is memorable and comfortable. It has love because of the people in my family. It’s where I have fun and play video games. It’s where I am never judged. It’s not just the walls that make me feel protected but it’s my family that will brighten up my face. When I get home from school I feel so happy because of my home. I jump over the couch in the living room and give my mom a big hug. I wait for my siblings to come home to have fun playing games. We get snuggled in our beds for another day to come in our peaceful home. Every holiday in our house brings me joy because we spend time together in our home. We all hang the stockings above the fireplace which is a tradition in my home. I feel lucky that I have a home and feel loved in it. Everyone should have a home because it's where you are loved. Take part and write a poem so other people will have a home.
