Home is Where Memories are Made and Archived

Home is not just a building, it's so much more It is a place where you can open the door A home is a place to live. It is a place where you can bring and give It's where your family stays It is a place you come to everyday A home doesn’t have four walls or two It is a place where you can play Hide-and-Seek and say, “Where are you?” My home is my favorite place to play It is mine in a very special way Sometimes when I come home My brother is playing on his phone At Christmas, my home is the best place to be I spend time with my family, and there are presents under the tree. A home has a special place in your heart It is where you can do homework that makes you smart My home is where I feel loved and you should too At Halloween I scare my brother and say, “BOO!” A home is where you can have fun In the summer and go outside in the sun and run You can decorate your home In a home you are never alone At home you can make your favorite homemade meal You can organize your furniture that you bought for a good deal Most of us are lucky enough to have a home But some people don’t and they are all alone This contest isn’t about winning, it's about helping people get a place to stay So we need to help them in every single way When I am home I feel safe and protected But some people don’t have a home and feel like they are going to get infected A home is where you have a roof over your head It is also a place where you go to bed Home is where most of us learned to walk It's also where some of us learned to talk So every time you submit your writing, you are helping someone When someone gets a house they know it’s going to be fun You have to take care of your home To me the chairs in my home are like a throne When you step into a home it’s all yours A lot of homes have nice floors Everyone should have a home A place that they can call their own
