Home is Where the Heart Is
Home means a lot of things but there are some really important things like having someone to talk to or having a roof over your head. I think of a home as a comforting and loving place. My home makes me feel safe, warm and reminds me of family. When I think of home, I think of a place where I can rest my head and a place for home cooked meals every night. Think of what home means to you. Look into your heart and not in your head. Imagine if you didn’t have a home. How would you feel all alone in the cold, no food no warmth, just you by yourself? Others might think of home differently, but to me home means friends and family. Home isn’t where you are, it's where your heart is. Even with challenges of Covid, home can be where you want your heart to be. When I think of home, I think of someone who is there for me all day, every day if you need someone to help you with anything. Home is not just a word. It’s a place you can trust and where you can be yourself. Home is a place to be joyful and make memories, not a gloomy place. Where is your home? Think about it and be grateful with what you have. If you're not grateful, maybe you should put yourself in other people's shoes who are not as fortunate as you then you will see how grateful you should be. Just like me some people are fortunate to have homes and families that care for them but others don’t even have a caring family or a home some have nothing. I’m so grateful that I have a home, I wish others did too.
