Home Is Where The Heart Is
Love, laughter, safety, and even tough times are the things that can make up a home. People need a home, a place to stay, a place to rest, and a place to make memories.
When you feel safe in your home, you have a sense of security and that feels good. Safety means no risk of danger but it also means that you can be who you are without feeling nervous. A home without judgement is safe.
In my home, we try to make every moment special. I am grateful for this but making the most of a situation is not always easy. Some of my favourite times in my home are when my family is relaxing and then we all decide to do something together. Whether we play a board game or go outside and toss the football around, home is a place to make memories.
Life can be tough for some people, especially if you don’t have a home. Habitat for Humanity is one organization that helps people to afford and build their own homes. Once they have a home, they can make every moment special. There are hard times in everyone's lives and having a home can make those hard times easier. Having someone to talk to or even a place to rest your head and let your mind be free can make those troubles melt away.
It is difficult to explain how much my home means to me. Every moment I’m at home I feel happy and loved. Those feelings are important right now but also for the future. People need a place to be themselves, a place to feel safe, and a place to talk about feelings. That is home and home is where the heart is.
