Meaning of Home

I walk to my house after a long day at school, the cold winter snow hits my face. As I open the door a warm gust hits my face and the smell of wood in the fireplace. My mom greets me with a smile on her face. “ How was your day?” My mom said . I replied “ Good , but it's pretty cold outside” I took off my jacket ,my mittens, my boots and my hat. Heat fills my body and fingers. After my mom is done work we eat dinner. We talk about our day , everyone takes turns when we do this. After dinner we put the dishes in the dishwasher and turn it on. Me and my brother and I take weekly turns. Most of my family , like my dad and my brother, know how to play chess. After dinner we play chess olympics. My brother and my dad play chess against each other. Then whoever wins plays chess with me . The person who wins against me is the winner of the chess olympics. Our chess games take multiple hours to complete, so by the time we are done playing it's nearly 9:00. So we get ready for bed. Everyone deserves a home , A home with working heat and hot food for dinner every night. I am honored to be a part of this contest and help someone in need.
