My Home

What's a home? A home to me is not just a place. It’s where you can find support from people you feel safe with. My home may not be perfect, but that’s ok because I love it. It’s where I can wake up in a warm cozy bed and smell fresh breakfast just to walk down and hear my family yelling. It’s how we communicate and it’s completely normal! My home is filled with caring, loving people. Home is a place where you can be yourself and don't have to change. Is home a place or a feeling? It could be anything, a person, a community you name it. A home can be a box if you want or maybe a car. To me home is a feeling, a great feeling. Fur as soft as a blanket. The purring of two fluffy cats - now that's my home. Adding to the mess are my cats - bolting around scratching, hissing, jumping. It’s crazy! Fun, crazy all the good things in life. You see it's not just my home, it’s my family, cats, and friends. There's no more I need. I’m not writing this because I have to. I'm writing this to help people with no homes so they can make memories and smile, and love.
