What Homes Means to me

What Home Means to me By Oliviann Home is where I feel safe and show the true me, I don’t need to be afraid. Your home is a canvas. You can paint the walls, hang artwork, and decorate it to make it your style. It’s where you can express yourself! Your home is full of memories, whether you just moved there or lived there your whole life. It’s like your own personal yearbook! Your home is like a magnet no matter where you go, you always get pulled back to it. Your home has a story and you are one of the main characters. Your home is where you do things as a family. You and your dad play sports and make jokes. You and your mom paint each other’s nails and watch a cringy T.V show. You can hear your mom singing in the kitchen as she makes your family a delicious dinner. Your home is a body, you are the blood that runs through it, playing games and chasing your dog. Your dad is the heart, telling silly dad jokes, he plays with you when you're sad, snuggles with you while watching a movie, he makes you even happier by just being there. Your mom is the lungs, she knows when you’re sad and helps you feel better, she helps you to breathe. When you’re happy, you talk away like you’re sisters. Your pet is the mind, they know when you’re sad and lay by your side, or happy so they want to play outside! It doesn’t matter if you live in Afghanistan, Kenya, or Peru, Nova Scotia, Italy, or Hawaii, it doesn’t matter if your house is big or small, what matters, it’s your home, made just for you. Home is where you can be you!
