A Home to Me
Home
Is home a feeling or a place?
I ask myself that almost every day
But I know that to me it's both
It may not be my house,
but it’s just as good
No one’s there to judge you
And everyone there accepts you
And even if you’re alone,
you know that somewhere,
someone loves you
And, you probably know,
That some people don’t have a home
Although I hope you’re impressed,
this felt like a test
And I hope you realized
That a lot of people need us
There’s so much to live for
So, I appreciate,
this home that was given to me
And, well, I hope you do,
because you should too
I’m making this poem
For the people that don’t have a home
For the people who feel alone
