What Home Means To Me!
Dear Habitat for Humanity,
I’m glad and lucky to have a safe place to call home.
At my home, I am safe and protected by my loved ones around me. I know at all times where my parents are and can get them or call them if in need of help .They can make sure we have fun while also setting boundaries and keeping us safe .If my parents ever have to run errands I have my older brother to keep us safe and watch over us .I am very over the top thankful that I am surrounded by loved ones to keep me safe.
I am very fortunate that In my home I can be myself and not be judged. I can wear what I would like and I will get compliments instead of judgements .I act however I want and be myself and not be judged .I am allowed aloud to do whatever makes me happy and not care what others think .At my home I can talk about anything to whoever .I'm not afraid to ask for help with whatever when I need it most .I can tell Anyone about my day and how I feel and not be disregarded. I can ask anyone for guidance and ask for anything when I need it most. If it wasn't for them, I would be completely lost.
At my Home I am lucky to have food, water, shelter and other items .I can come home knowing that I get to have dinner with my family and I won't be hungry .At night I know I'll be warm enough because I have a nice bed and we have nice warm blankets to keep me warm .If I'm ill I know my mom has stuff like medicine to make me feel better .When I want ,I get to have a shower and get nice and clean .I'm lucky to have these things and be able to do these things because some kids don't have it ,I am over the top grateful for everything. I am thankful that at the end of the day, I can just lay down and relax after a long day.
