The True Meaning Of Home
Home is an enjoyable and happy place where you can live, laugh and learn. It’s somewhere where you are loved, respected, and cared for. When you give or receive a hug you feel warmth in your heart. A home is a place where you can say what’s on your mind. It’s a place where you can be with your family and have their support.
When you look at it from the outside a home is just a house, a building. But on the inside a home is way more than just wood or bricks. A home is a place to rest, eat, drink, and clean. It keeps us safe from bad weather such as rain, sunlight, storms, and other natural disasters. There is a huge difference between a house and a home. A house is just a place with a roof, but a home is a place where you live and feel comfort.
The memories I have of my home are like a warm blanket after a cold day of playing outside. Some of my favorite memories are watching TV with my brother while my parents cook supper. I also enjoy when the four members of my family sit around the kitchen table laughing and telling jokes. Over the past few winters, we have been making a lot of great memories skating in our backyard. We spend a lot of quality time in our basement playing mini sticks and blasting dad's music from the 90’s and early 2000’s. Even though I'm 10 years old I still love getting tucked to bed at night and sleeping with all my fuzzy blankets and soft pillows.
Home is more than just a place to live. I feel very lucky to have 2 parents and a younger brother who love me very much! We have created many special memories in our loving home and hope to create many more.
