Home

I watch my home as it tears apart, I can feel my soul fade. As my mom and dad shout about, I dash to my room to slam my door. I sigh and say “What Is Home…?” A few months pass and I see bags stacked. I watch my mother go without a trace. I feel the colour drain from life and say, “What Is Home?” Is home a place for this fear to grow and swallow me whole? I have a fake smile. Well months pass. My mother returns. I hug her tightly, I hide my thoughts. Is home even a place for a disgrace like me in this cruel world? My mother announces she finds a home! I ask her what is it like? She says, “It's a house but 4 homes in one.” We get in her car. Well my brother rides the moving van with my father. My face lights up with the sun and this joyful feeling. At last we made it. I see it before my eyes. Just a few more days until I step inside this land. At last, a week or two pass we drive to the house. I rush in as a feel my heart become one. I see the colour in my world once more, As I float in the air, feeling this with my eyes wide open, the taste, the smell, it's what I dream of. I gracefully float down. I feel unique, and I say at last. “My name is Sarah, and I am home.”
