Mi Casa
Mi Casa
My home, mi casa, ma masion, la mia casa. Home in any language has the same meaning. Some people take their home for granted but others would give anything to have a home big or small. They would give anything to have a safe place to raise their children. A place where they can feel safe with their families.
The dictionary definition for home is “a place where someone lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household.” My home is so much more than the dictionary defines it as. My home is a safe place where I can be myself, where I can feel safe and laugh all I want.
In these hard times staying in our homes might be a pain to us since we’ve spent so much time in our houses this past year. But every time someone tells you you can’t go somewhere, just remember that homeless people are living on the streets and they are out in the cold freezing while you are safe and warm. They are starving when you have a fridge full of food, they are mostly alone when you are with your family, and they are on the streets in danger when you are safe.
Feel: When I’m at home I feel safe, comfortable, and warm.
See: When I’m at home I see our family praying together before bed and I see us enjoying all the wonderful things my home provides.
Smell: When I’m at home I smell freshly baked cookies that I make with my sister.
Hear: When I’m at home I hear laughter and cheer when our team scores.
Taste: When I’m at home I taste the warm meals that my parents cook for me.
