What is the meaning of home

What is the Meaning of Home The meaning of home is hard to describe because it is so different for everyone... The meaning of home to me means a place where you feel safe and protected. A place where you feel happy and where you feel like you can have fun with your friends without having to worry about random things that would stop you from having fun. Home is where you can feel all the emotions that you might not want to feel in public. Home is where your family lives whoever that is and may look like. When I walk into my house I instantly feel safer and happier. Home means to me biking and walking with my mom, laughing and roughhousing with my dad and fighting with my sister over tiny little things. Home means a place where you can recover from being sick or injured. Home for me means memories and time spent with my family beside the glowing fire. It means the sound of the waves crashing on the seashore out on Whiffen Spit when the sun has just gone down. It means the smell of the trees and the sound of children playing in the neighbourhood. It means the long car rides home playing word games to pass the time with my sister and my mom. Home to me means the place where I learned to walk, ride my bike and grew up. A place where I made my first friend. Home sounds chaotic but at other times it is calm and peaceful. It means pillow (hebe) bushes that are the size of a normal sized barbeque and ivy vines that are so thick and large that they threaten to replace the fence. Home is the place where I thrive.
