A Blessing Called Home
Welcome home!
Let’s talk to each other,
but not on the phone;
for we are together.
Home is a place,
a place that’s safe
where we’re face to face
with room and space.
A place with community,
a place with fun,
where there is unity
out in the sun.
Even in the night
when it’s dark.
Just light a light,
maybe hear a lark.
Some people have run out of luck
but were here to give them hope,
here to get them unstuck,
where you can cope.
So everyone who can
come make a rhyme.
Help with the plan,
we're running out of time.
Homes are important
It helps make a better future.
No more living with an ant,
maybe become a teacher.
It’s safe and warm
and is a great place.
Where you don't have to swarm,
for it has lots of space.
You’ll get your own room,
to put all your things.
And it’s nothing like a tomb,
why not live like kings?
You’ll have a living room
where you live.
And toys that goes zoom,
for this is a place to be active.
A kitchen and dining room.
The kitchen for cooking,
The other for eating with family, I assume,
and in every room a window for looking.
