House vs. Home

What makes my house a home? My house is my home because I feel safe and I have my family, my dog and my own space. I feel safe at home because everything is nice and peaceful and nothing bad happens here. The neighborhood I live in is very safe and everyone is friendly. Having my family means I always have people who love me and help me when I need it. With my family, we share meals and special time together. We have fun playing games and doing activities together. My dog makes my house a home because she is always happy to see me when I walk in the door. We have so much fun playing together. My house is my home because I have my own room where I can go and spend time in my own space. I also have a room in the basement where I go and play my video games, which is super fun. A house is a building with walls, a roof and rooms, but a home is a lot different. A home is a place for family where good times are had and memories are made.
