The Meaning of Home

The Meaning of Home A home is where all your memories are. One of my memories is when we got our cat Zelda. She scratched up the wall and that is still there today and whenever I look at it I remember when we got Zelda. Another memory is when my little sister was younger, she drew little people on the wall and they are still there today. Another memory is in my bedroom doorway is all of mine and my sisters’ heights as we got older. A home is where you feel safe and loved. When I got up one night because I had a nightmare I felt safe because I knew nothing could get me in my home. A home is where your family is. In my house I live with my Mom, Dad, Nan, two sisters and my brother and cat. A home is where you feel comfortable and accepted. A home is a place you know you can always come back to. Like when me and my family moved to Conne River we knew we could always come back. Like Ralph Waldo Emerson once said “A house is made with walls and beams a home is made with love and dreams’’ What makes my home special is knowing I’m surrounded by love.
