Moving Day
I stare at the house.
Long, and hidden in the trees.
This house has a stone mouse
staring back at me.
I slowly walk toward my mother
she says, go on, pick a room!
I forgot! A room! Running past my brother,
I cry, race you!
He jumps and hurries to catch up.
The door is sky blue,
and opened wide,
our things are being moved.
I beat my brother inside.
I gasp, eyes like oceans/
What a beautiful home.
