Home
By: Kendra B
Everyone deserves a home,
so that’s why I am writing this poem.
A place to jump on the couch,
To laugh and make memories,
A place to get a kiss when you say ouch,
Nothing can match this joy,
Not even living for centuries.
A home is where you feel happy,
sad, grateful and bored,
My home is where I feel onboard,
A home is where you feel love,
Where you thank the world above.
My home is where the horses roam,
Where I just feel so safe and at home.
A home is where the heart is,
Yet houses have none,
You only ever have one.
As I see the base be built,
I know that this will always be my place.
My home is where I have my bed,
Where I know I can rest my head.
My home is where we play board games,
where I first got my name.
Even though it’s not that much,
It’s the only place I feel in touch.
I hope this poem has helped you have
A home of your very own
Love builds a happy home.
