Home is Where

Home is where you smell your Mom making bacon for your breakfast. Your home isn’t a home until you’ve had your first sleep and a first cuddle. Your home makes you smile, makes you laugh with the people that you love. Your home is where you sink in the sun outside and play with your Mom. Your home feels so soft it makes you get sleepy. You taste the best food, you hear the best songs in the best place that can make your parents so proud. Your home is where you have a few meltdowns, but someone is always there to help you out. Home is where you have friends over and ride a bike. Home is where you learn how to cook a great meal for the people in your home. Home is where you help your Mom up sometimes if she isn’t herself. Your home is where you sew a new dress. Your home is where you learn how to read a new big huge book. Home is where you feed your pets. Home is where you dream crazy new dreams of what you want to be. In my home I hear peace, love, fun, nice. Home is where you feel loved, happy and you feel that you matter. Home is where you see that no home is the same. Home is where you smell your Dad barbecuing some hot dogs. Our homes change day by day and a home is only a home if you love the people there that have changed your life. Home is the best place.
