The Meaning Of Home
What home means to me can be described through my senses. What I see, feel and hear creates my home. Home to me might not mean the same thing to everyone else but with my senses I create the meaning of my home. The things that I see in my home make it my own because they belong to me. I see my mommy cooking in the kitchen. My skateboard that I got in Portland. I see my brother who gives me nice warm hugs and my dad who plays basketball with me. The things that I feel at home are the things that make me feel good and happy. When I feel my soft bed it makes me feel cozy. When I feel my table where I eat my meals I feel safe and taken care of. When I feel my mom and dad hugging me it makes me feel loved. When I feel my couch it makes me feel like I can call this house my own. The things that I hear at home make me feel loved by my family and that I can always talk to them. The things that I hear are my parents' voices which makes me feel safe. I hear my brother and I feel lovably annoyed. I hear my bed sheets crinkle, I get goosebumps and when I hear my house creak it feels familiar. That’s my home described through my senses and what home means to me.
