What Home Means To Me

It is special to have a place you can call home. I have lived in two different homes. My current home is one of my favourite places. My home brings me comfort because you have a bed to sleep in. In my bed I have really cozy sheets and blankets. I got them for my birthday and they match my room. Home means comfort because in my home we have heating and air conditioning. These are great for cold and hot days. Home means comfort because of furniture. For example, you can watch a movie with your family on a couch or read a book by yourself on a chair. This is why home means comfort. My home brings me safety because there are security cameras. If someone steals a package we could look at footage to see who it was. Home means safety because there are house and fire alarms. A fire alarm beeps when there is a fire or smoke in your house. A house alarm tells you if the door has opened and it will call the police for you. I feel very safe in my home. My home brings me happiness because you can spend time with your family. You can spend time with your family by doing activities or playing games. For example you could play your favourite video game or bake a cake. Happiness at home is also eating a big meal together, such as Sunday night dinners. I like special dinners in my dining room because it feels like you can be at a restaurant, especially during covid. My home is full of happiness and joy. Home is a special place. It can mean different things to different people. What does home mean to you?
