The Endless Meanings of Home
A house is a place where we can celebrate holidays that are truly amazing, but we don’t think about saving the homeless, we just worry about ourselves, our friends and family. If we are thirsty we can go to the sink and fill up our glass. If we are hungry we can go to the fridge and get some snacks, but the homeless are struggling to get food and water. They are struggling to survive. There are houses down every street, in every city or town, in every country and continent, but there aren't enough homes for all the 8 billion people. I love home because it is a place to stay, it is a place where we can all shout hooray. At home you have fun, it is a place to bake buns, not everyone can have that because they are forced to live with a rat. My home is a shield. It protects me from bad people, It provides me shelter, it is like a force field. It is a place where my family lives and although we don’t think about it protects us and keeps us safe. We can be greedy and uncaring, but we still have a heart, you can still help because we all have a part. Home is a feeling like my comrades have said. We all love this feeling, it is like gold, instead we should share it and take the homeless out the cold. Even in the darkest times home will show us the light. It is so pretty and very bright. When it does show us the light it is because it knows we will make it right. A home isn’t born on the face of the Earth, it is created by the people who do care the most. I have a quote that explains this nicely. It is a wise quote that has lots of meanings . “Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present, but not giving it.” - William Arthur Ward. To me this quote means that you might feel bad for someone, but you don’t decide to help them. This is why you should help donate and share, so take a step forward and be the kind of a person that you should always want to be: A kind person.
