A Home of Memories

Home is a place where memories live. I was born and came home from the hospital to a house that my parents and sister already lived in. I don’t remember that, but I do remember lots that have happened since. I have never had to move but I did go through big renovations at our house. That's when I realized it doesn't matter if your kitchen is old or new, it just matters that you have somewhere you can keep your happy memories of home. Each room has its memories. Kitchen. I wrote my name for the first time sitting on the floor in our kitchen. I did it without help for the first time and now it's a proud memory I'll remember forever. Living Room. Lots of fun family things happen in our living room. My grandpa did the chicken dance. It was funny. We also gather around the fire and eat nibbles and read our books. My Bedroom. This is my happy space. I remember sleeping on my big bed for the first time when I was still little. Now I like to remember good times when I’m going to sleep at night. Family Room. The family room is the place in my home where most of my family has their memories including mine. Board games, dance parties, laughs and cuddles. The name "family room" fits this room perfectly! I'm grateful that I have a home that is full of happy memories.
