More than just a bricks, home is a foundation
Home is the foundation but it’s more than a building
Home is a lot of things to me but the things that I love the most about home are the snuggles near the fire and memories with family and friends. Home is where I feel safe and happy . I love having tickle fights with my dad and brothers downstairs and being silly and laughing so much. I love that we can have outdoor movie nights with my family and friends, with lots of candy and popcorn and treats. My home is a place where I love to have my friends come over. I have the most fun when I have sleepovers and slumber parties because we get to stay up late, do our nails, hair and have pillow fights.
My home is cozy, warm, and comfy and I have everything I need and I cherish it. I have a roof and my bedroom, and a kitchen where my mom cooks and my own bathroom so I don’t have to share with my brothers. I know I am lucky to have all this because I have seen people without homes. I know that there are people who have to live in tents because they don’t have enough money for a house or an apartment. Our family gets to have awesome weekend breakfasts with pancakes and whipped cream but I know that some are not so lucky.
Home is really wherever the people I love the most are. I love my family and that they have their own unique personalities. My older brother is a great artist, my mom is a great cook, my dad is also a great artist and my little brother is good at sports and art. They get to be themselves because we are safe and happy and can come home from school to be together. Home might be walls and ceilings and windows and a door but I love what is inside my home
the most.
