What Home Means to Me

A home by definition is a shelter that is the usual residence of a person, family, or household, but is that what it really means? To me a home is somewhere that I am and feel safe. It is somewhere that I am warm and protected. It is somewhere that I make memories with the people I love. It is somewhere that I make cheesy chilly mac with my family. It’s a place where no matter who you are you belong. It is somewhere that sadly that not everyone has which has to change. It's somewhere that I don’t have to dream about. A home is a HUMAN RIGHT that means everyone deserves one. So lets try that definition again. A home is something we need, we are initialed to, and something that not everybody has YET!
