What Home Means to Me
As soon as I think about the question, I think about the my house, my yard, the
trees, the street, how close home is to and from my school, my family living in
there, the warm feeling of having a place to be safe and loved.
After social studies with my teacher, I thought about earth and
how each human has a place on our earth to spend time with their own family.
Earth is our home and so we should protect our home from disasters and
dangerous ecosystems that can destruct our homes. I think we can’t think
anymore as one person feeling good in one place protected by your own family
and community but as a global community living on a planet called earth.
The warmth of our sun, the sunlight that produces our vegetables to be green,
the living creatures that surround us, the incredible nature and so many other
things that we are studying to be conscious of our surroundings to make this
world a better place for all of us. A better home for everyone.
If we all participate in making our home earth a better place, we could build a
happier place for those who are not as lucky as us. We could make a happier
place for others as well. Our hearts could be happier not because we are safe in a
house but because we know we all are trying to get a better home for all of those
in need.
I am grateful to have a home, a family a teacher and all the people who are
helping me to be a better person, and I hope we could help others too to make
earth a better home for others too. This winter I donated some of my money to a
NGO. We learned with my teacher about NGO’s and I like this one that helps
children in other countries. I think we need to learn more about our home earth
by learning how other people need you to help them too.
If you have a home, a teacher, a family, think about how you could help others by
helping our home earth. Plant more trees, help others by donating books,
clothing, toys and other things. I am sure in your heart you know what is the best
to help others.
