What Home Means to Me

Home to me isn’t just a building or a place you live. To me home can travel with you wherever you go. It's about the things that make it home. Home is comfortable, if you can be comfortable somewhere that place could be home. Comfort means being with the people you love, the people you care about and the people that matter most to you. Comfort is feeling like you belong somewhere. It is also being able to relax in that space you’re in. Home is being warm in the cold weather and not freezing. Warmth is being able to sit around people or things you care about and using each other to stay warm. Warmth is lying in bed at night cuddled up in your blankets. Warmth is also being able to relax without having to have the struggle of freezing to death. Most importantly home is feeling safe. Feeling safe is going to bed at night knowing you have a roof over your head and that you have people to protect you if someone breaks in or something. Feeling safe is when near people in your house you know that they are going to keep you safe. Just overall you feel safe where you are. So home doesn’t have to be a big house with lots of thing in it, it is actually the things that may seem little but are actually very kind.
