What Home Means to Me
What Home Means to Me
When I am feeling down and I open my door,
My family is there to cheer me up, and so much more.
The lights are not what is keeping my house bright,
It is my family hugging me so tight.
My home is not just four walls and a roof,
Let me tell you the truth;
A home means so much more,
It holds good memories from before.
The good times and the bad times,
When I am happy and when I am sad.
My dog is always there,
To cuddle with me with her soft and fluffy hair.
My fireplace warms me up,
And so does my mom’s hot chocolate in a mug.
When I am bored, my brother plays videogames with me,
And when I am feeling tired,
I can crawl in my bed and dream.
When the power is out, we do not need a generator,
Because we have each other.
I love my home.
