My Happy Place
I come into my home when it is cold
My mother’s smile never gets old
She greets me with a warm embrace
My fears or concerns it does erase
My home is somewhere I can run and be free
I am encouraged to care and be me
Home is a place where I can sleep and eat
The many pets I have are neat
My home is where I can rest and watch tv
I feel so warm, I feel so happy
Being home brings me so much joy
When I’m home, I’m a happy boy
My wish is that everyone could feel this way
With sturdy walls and a safe place to stay
A home for all is my biggest desire
May this be the poem to light your fire
