What Home Means to Me
Home is where there is family, safety and hope.
When I’m at home, I am with my family: My parents, my siblings and sometimes my friends. I am with the people who I know will accept me no matter what. They will support me when I’m feeling down. They will make me laugh with funny jokes. I will create beautiful memories with my family.
At home, I am safe. Even if the dark corners of my bedroom at night make butterflies suddenly appear in my stomach, I still know that inside that dark corner is just my bean bag chair or my pile of laundry that needs folding. Even if I hear strange noises sometimes, I am grateful to know it is just one of my adorable cats.
At home, I always have hope. All the feelings that make up home, like happiness, comfort and amusement, they all relate to hope. Home is where there is Hope.
Hope, safety and loved ones are my list of the things that need to be there in a home. Even if I can’t see hope or safety, I still know it's there.
