What Home Means to Me

To me home is more than a house, bed, a shower. It’s my city, my province, my country. That is my home, that is my safe place. Where my family lives, where I live. My home is where I am happy. Some people don’t have a house, but everyone has a home. A safe place, where they are loved may it be by a family member, a spouse, a friend or even a pet. Or at least that is what I hope. Some people have no one at all, no one to love them, I want that to change. A home is a place you feel happy and safe, a place you can say you belong. You could be alone or with friends, or family, as long as you are happy it is your home. A house is a place, a building. That is all. It has no more significance than an office or any other building. A house is nothing special, it is just a building. My home is not my house. My house is a building and my home is my family.
