Home

Home is a place where laughter fills the air. Where friendly faces are everywhere. Home is where family memories lie, in its walls, on its roof, in every stair it lies. When I am home, I feel safe to be me. When I get home siblings yell at me. The smell of burnt grill cheese is a way I know I’m safe. Home is where I have many restless sleeps. Home is where I overcome my fears. Home is where pictures of baby yoda crowd my room. My home is where chaos strikes. Home is where friends and family are. Home is where I have grown. Home is where toys are laid out in every room. Home is where handprints are everywhere. Home is loving. Home is caring. Home is where Christmas trees are staying. Where Christmas music is playing. Everyone needs the feeling of safety that a home brings. So, help create the sense of home by writing a poem. For every poem commits ten dollars for those who lack the feeling of what home brings. “A house is made of bricks and beams a home is made of hopes and dreams” -Ralph Waldo Emerson
